Bringing proven negotiation and collaboration skills to Duluth’s City Council.

About Me

I moved to Duluth in the 90s to attend UMD. When I got here I fell in love with the city, and was determined to make it my home.

At first I worked in the tourism industry. Then I interned at Safe Haven Shelter for battered women, and later became a legal advocate working with domestic violence victims in the court system.

For the past 20 years, I've built my own small business as a real estate agent, learning to negotiate and get things done.

I love my job as a Realtor, but I've always felt drawn to the good work of non-profits, too. So I've continued volunteering, and I've served on the boards of several local housing organizations, where I’ve collaborated with those of diverse perspectives. You might recognize Neighborhood Housing Services, Northern Community Land Trust, 1 Roof Community Housing, Common Ground Construction, the City of Duluth Housing Task Force, Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Duluth, and Housing For Inmates.

Now I want to bring my proven negotiation and collaboration skills to the City Council, working for our community.

My husband Jim is a Duluth native, and we have 4 children: Cora (19), Mae (18), Alexandra (15), and Henry (12). We own one of Duluth’s many historic homes, which is both a joy and a challenge. I love sewing, and I also enjoy being outdoors in Duluth in all seasons. You'll often find me hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, working in my raingarden, and watching my kids play sports.

Thank you for your support!
